The President of De Norsemen Kclub Inc., Chief Dr Adeshola Giwa, has asked Mr Adamu Mohammed to see his new assignment as a privilege to rewrite history.
Chief Dr Giwa said the Police force was the closest security force to civilians, therefore, must be reflective of service, friendship, trust and professionalism. He noted that the police institution needed strong and total overhauling but such could only be achieved by an officer whose drive was strengthened by the resolve to surpass international policing benchmark.
Chief Dr Adeshola, who was responding to questions from journalists at Murtala Mohammed International Airport, on his arrival from a one week inspection visit to UAE for the International Conference of De Norsemen Kclub Inc. billed to hold from 22-29 April, 2019, in Dubai.
Before fielding questions from journalists, he demanded that his entourage and all around observe three minutes silence for our heroes who sacrificed their lives to give Nigerian citizens protection.
Chief Adeshola said, “It takes the highest patriotism for one to lay down his life at the frontline in battle with heavily armed militias in and around Nigeria.
I, therefore, while immensely thanking the Nigerian armed forces, also encourage their leadership to explore and harness most recent method of fighting the global menace called terrorism”.
He continued, “I expect that the new police boss should know that his work is enormous. Right now that elections are by the corner, Nigeria Police Force must be seen to be apolitical and unbiased.
“He may have short time to do much reforms before the election, however, he must demonstrate tactfulness to professionalism.”
He added, “I am just coming from Dubai. I must tell you that there is no magic in making things work other than the leadership of every institution of the Nation justly doing their stipulated functions”.
Chief Adeshola said he was optimistic that the one week conference of De Norsemen Kclub Inc. coming up early this year in Dubai will expose her members to lots of leadership training.
In his words, “Success is not accidental. We are conscious of that fact. This is majorly why we are mobilising resources to have our members undergo leadership conference in Dubai, with full conviction that they will explore the leadership skills of that nation and replicate same to help in Nigeria’s development. We wish to prepare, especially the youths to be positively eventful when given leadership position anywhere”, he concluded.
Recall that over eight hundred (800) members of the organization from Nigeria and other countries were in Ghana sometime in May 2018, for a conference on evaluation of Nigeria-Ghana partnership.
Also in December, 2018, over two thousand members of the organization from within and outside Nigeria met in Aba, Abia State, on voters’ sensitisation campaign.
